SMEDAN Launches Fashion Workshop, Offers Free Access to SMEs for One Month

The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) has inaugurated a textile and garment workshop tailored for fashion designers, granting entrepreneurs one month of complimentary access.

According to SMEDAN, the workshop aims to empower SMEs by providing tools, knowledge, and market access, thereby reducing production costs and facilitating growth in the sector.

SMEDAN seeks to enhance the quality and competitiveness of locally made fashion items, transitioning from individual support to collective empowerment for maximum impact.

Entrepreneurs can access the workshop by completing a registration process, including documentation and scheduling.

While currently in the testing phase, SMEDAN offers a one-month grace period to users, with plans to establish partnerships and enhance the model’s effectiveness.

Following the trial period, a monthly subscription fee of N8,000 will be required, providing subscribers access to all tools and utilities.

The workshop, inaugurated in Abuja by Vice-President Kashim Shettima, is now operational, marking a significant milestone in supporting SMEs in the fashion industry.
